London Walking Tour, ’Romans to Rogers’ walk: 2000 years of City History

Coach will leave Knoll Road at 8:15 am

Coffee on arrival in London at the Liberty Bounds pub at about 10.30, visit in the morning:

  • a couple of fine Wren churches
  • a delightful garden in a bombed churchyard
  • the Monument with its superb allegoric sculpture of the Great Fire
  •  the Historic Leadenhall Market

Lunch  in a large Wetherspoon pub

In the afternoon visit:

  • some of the best examples of modern architecture by Lord Foster, Lord Rogers
  • the best remaining Roman Wall
  • Marine War Memorials in Trinity Gardens  
  • the site of the medieval execution block

Leaving London at about 4.15. That should complete the walk, called From Roman to Rogers- 2000 years of City History
