NADFAS volunteers help to conserve our heritage both in Britain and in parts of Europe for the benefit of the public.

Over the years since 1988 CDFAS volunteers have given their time and skills to help National Trust properties, museums, galleries and libraries in non specialist but vital ways by caring for collections, recording documents, guiding and stewarding. These have included The Vyne, Osterley Park, The Royal Military Academy, The National Portrait Gallery, Farnborough Abbey, The Royal Library at Windsor after the fire, British and Surrey Heath Museums.

A group of volunteers from CDFAS are working on the computerisation of all burial records for St Peter’s church at Frimley some on research into a number of the people buried there. This is a very large and fascinating project and more volunteers are needed. In addition a group of volunteers are presently helping Surrey Heath Museum with the conservation of photographic negatives.
