Charleston House & Farley Farm House

30 members visited Charleston House and Farley Farm House on 18th June 2015. The group could not have wished for a better day and enjoyed lunch the Cricketers Arms, Berwick.

Charleston, in East Sussex is a property associated with the Bloomsbury group. It was the country home of Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant and is an example of their decorative style within a domestic context, representing the fruition of over sixty years of artistic creativity.

Farley Farm House is a farm house near Chiddingly, East Sussex which has been converted into a museum and archive featuring the lives and work of its former residents, the photographer Lee Miller and the surrealist artist Roland Penrose.
